Preparing the Workforce for the Clean Energy Economy: LEED Cities Advancing a Just Transition

April 7, 1-2 pm ET
GBCI Continuing Education: LEED AP ND, LEED Green Associate

Local governments are connecting their climate and sustainability goals with programs to develop and train the workforce and build career pathways. These efforts are also engaging workers from low income communities and communities of color. From St. Louis’ green jobs workforce development pilot program to Charlotte’s RENEW program to Denver’s Green Jobs strategy, we will hear directly from local government leaders and their partners. How were their programs initiated and funded? What outcomes do they seek to improve? How are they engaging the community in the work? And what does a just transition to a climate resilient, sustainable city look like?

Our First Friday webinars offer access to previously recorded, five-star rated, LEED-specific CE approved education sessions. These webinars are FREE for USGBC local community members and employees of national member companies, and are $10 for all others. See our full schedule of First Friday webinars for the year on our main page.
